PCN Mission Statement - The original Delta Retired Pilot Communication Network began in 1996 by founder David L. Roberts. The new PCN is this original Network merged with the RSP managed by Mark Sztanyo, and now has grown to thousands of subscribers. PCN exists to carry on the tradition of serving our pilot community and their families by keeping them informed and connected through this completely volunteer communication and networking effort.

The PCN is a not a well funded big-staffed organization. Rather, the PCN is an all volunteer not-for-profit collaboration. The PCN is primarily a communication network utilizing email and this web site. As technology changes, the PCN will adopt other online methods to facilitate communication and connection of our community.

PCN Policies - (Rules of Engagement):
- Who are welcome to join? All Delta active and retired pilots and their family members, and all affiliated Delta employees and their families.
- Online forms help the PCN with administration: As members use the forms, they are received in an efficient manner for proper response.
- Keep it clean and we attempt to steer away from the hot buttons of politics and religious preaching.
- Spam filters - Since PCN sends mass email blast, spam filters must be adjusted properly to accept any email from --@pilotcommunication.net (PCN uses multiple email accounts from that domain) The PCN doesn’t have the required time to sign into your personal servers “friendly” list. It must be handled at the subscriber end!
- Freely shared messages -All subscribers (with no financial motive) may freely share messages with the network that are deemed by the administrator as having a reasonable network purpose or interest.
- The PCN has no financial motive, it is a for free community service entity. Financially motivated persons or firms - Firms or persons with a financial implication (profit motive) MAY have access to our large member base, however the PCN will clearly mark that info under the “commercial” section. (this program is under development)
- Member privacy - The PCN will religiously protect the privacy of our membership. Our group list will remain hidden. When asked to share a member's email, we contact the member 1st.
